Gangster Squad
In 1949 Los Angeles, Mickey Cohen, a gangster, has arrived with the intent of governing all crime in the area. He bought the local police and judges, but no one wants to testify or cross him. All except Sergeant John O’Mara who is a veteran World War II soldier whose aim it to live with his family peacefully in Los Angeles. William Parker, Police Chief, decides to create a special unit with the mission of taking down Cohen and picks O’Mara as its leader. O’Mara selects four cops, and then asks Jerry Wooters (a vet and cop) to come along. Wooters declines. Wooters is shocked to see Cohen’s murder of a boy. He joins the police and decides to dismantle Cohen’s group. Cohen is unsure if there’s another person after him. But he eventually realizes that it’s the police. –[email protected]
