Surviving Christmas
Drew Latham, a Chicago-based ad executive who is wealthy, has avoided Christmas traditions for many years but has always feared being left alone. Drew decides to go back to his childhood Christmases after his trip to the Caribbean with Missy Vangilder fails and Missy leaves him. He decides to lease a house from the Valcos who are the owners of the suburban Chicago home he grew up in, his beloved ones being gone. Drew is not interested in Drew, unless a large sum of money is involved. They then create a contract that expires on Christmas Eve. Drew does not (or won’t) see that Drew is a part of a larger problem: the Valcos have their own issues, and Drew only adds to them. Will the Valcos be able to bear their surprise guest? Will the money help their problems if they are able to? Drew will soon realize his goals and learn how to get them there. –Huggo
