Public Enemies
In the 1930s, robbers pounced on banks and wealthy targets at alarming rates. John Dillinger is the most well-known of these robbers. His gang ply its trade against large businesses with cunning efficiency while leaving normal citizens unaffected. FBI chief J. Edger Hoover wants to end Dillinger’s rise to fame and assigns Melvin Purvis, an ace agent to track him down. Purvis is struggling with reality during the manhunt, while Dillinger faces a grim future, losing friends and having to deal with dwindling options in a world where organized crime has no place for him. –Kenneth Chisholm ([email protected])
