Total Recall

Remake of Total Recall (1990) by Philip K. Dick. The classic Sci-Fi story, We Can Remember It For You Wholesale, was directed and starred Bryan Cranston and Colin Farrell. In the 21st century the planet was decimated by chemical warfare. Only two countries remain — the United Federation of Britain (UFB) and the Colony. Douglas Quaid (Farrell), a factory worker, has a loving spouse (Beckinsale). But when he discovers that Rekall might grant him the memories of the ultimate spy adventure, Quaid decides to go on a virtual vacation. However, while he is trying to implant new memories into his brain, things go haywire. The authorities accuse Quaid of being a spy and force him to flee for his safety. Quaid later discovers his memories and life were stolen. Quaid joins with Melina, a rebel soldier (Jessica Biel), to pursue Matthias (Bill Nighy), who is the leader of the resistance group that has been called a terrorist organisation by the dictatorial Chancellor Cohaagen. (Bryan Cranston) Cohaagen wants to take over the free world. Quaid will fight to stop him every chance he gets.
