After browsing through a bookshop, she found a novel with a red cover. It was a mystery about a murder that revolves around the number 23. Walter is captivated by the story. He dreams about it and notices parts of his life that are able to be described as “23.” After searching for the author, Walter stays at the hotel in room 23, where the events from the novel occurred, and begins to believe the book was real. He is supported by his wife and son, who sometimes sympathize with him while sometimes trying to save him. He slowly uncovers the truth, even though he is in danger for his family and himself. —
