The Lullaby

After being overwhelmed by her first child’s birth, Chloe van Heerden (19), returns to Eden Rock to try to make peace with motherhood. Chloe also has to deal with Ruby (35) her mother who is extremely critical. She struggles with being a mom. Chloe is driven to deep depression by the incessant cry of her son, and a growing feeling of guilt. Chloe is driven to protect her child and sees danger everywhere. She is so distraught that she visits Dr. Timothy Reed, a family psychologist (40s), who diagnoses her intruding thoughts and anxious feelings to mild baby blues. The thoughts get worse and more severe. Chloe begins to hear voices, hum a childhood song and has flashes of visions around the child. Chloe is convinced that the entity exists and does all she can to protect her child. She begins to feel helpless and her decline accelerates. Chloe is desperate and finds comfort in Emile Hess, her childhood friend (20s). As the world collapses around Chloe, it is clear that her and her baby are in immediate danger. What are the dangers?
