The Intruder (1962)
On the day of integration, a man dressed in a white suit arrives in small Southern towns. Adam Cramer is his name. Cramer calls himself a social reformer. His goal is to get people out of the habit of allowing black children in the white school. He soon has all the white residents of town on his side. He believes he is leading them, but the man he quickly betrays and befriends knows better. They have turned into a mob. It soon feels its fury. Adam Cramer might find that the people are permanently and completely out of his hands after an accusation was made against him. –J. Spurlin
