The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)

Mikael Blomkvist, a disgraced journalist is being asked by a wealthy industrialist for a biography about his family. Blomkvist is asked to investigate the disappearance of his niece 40 years earlier. Blomkvist initially doesn’t want to be involved, but the man eventually offers his help. Blomkvist begins to talk with the relatives of the man who were present when the girl disappeared. Some of these relatives aren’t forthcoming. Blomkvist believes her disappearance may be related to serial murders which took place twenty years prior. He asks for help from a researcher. The industrialist’s friend suggests Lisbeth Slander to him. She is a skilled hacker and does background checks. He is impressed by her report and invites her to join him. She is antisocial, but extremely efficient. –[email protected]
