The Comeback Trail
Max Barber (Robert Deniro), a greedy, gritty film producer from the grindhouse, decides to make a risky film to kill his leading actor. Max doesn’t expect the old, depressed, drunken Duke Montana (Tommy Lee Jones), to come back in front of the cameras. Max raises the stakes and puts Duke in dangerous situations, even though he is unable to kill him with a simple stunt. Max makes the greatest movie of his life, as Duke is able to survive stunt after stunt. The COMEBACK TRAIL, a cross between “Get Shorty”, and “The Producers”, is a hilarious journey into the Hollywood underbelly. It is filled with hilarious and memorable characters that will make you laugh.
