Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
Benjamin Barker, a barber in Victorian London is married to Lucy, and has a beautiful child named Johanna. Because Lucy is beautiful, Judge Turpin becomes interested in the Barber. He falsely accuses him of a crime he didn’t commit. Later, he abuses Lucy after taking custody. Benjamin, after fifteen years of exile, returns to London as Sweeney Todd in an attempt to exact revenge on Turpin. The widow Mrs. Lovett, who owns a meat pie store in London, tells Benjamin that Lucy swallowed arsenic years back. Turpin then assigned herself tutor to Johanna.
