Surprised by Love
Josie Mayfield is a hardworking businesswoman who works at her father’s successful cookware company. She believes Richard to be the ideal man for her. He’s handsome, driven, and successful. Josie’s parents Joseph and Claire don’t agree. Josie is reunited with Maxwell (an underachieving high school friend who still has a crush upon Josie), and Richard devises a plan that will make him look great to Josie’s parents. Maxwell will become Josie’s date for Joseph’s anniversary celebration. Claire and Joseph will give up their privacy to see Josie as a loser when they meet Richard. That’s at least the plan. Maxwell is a guest at the Mayfield house as Josie’s anniversary party hostess, causing chaos for Joseph and Claire by his illogical ways. Although things start out rough, Maxwell quickly wins Joseph and Clair over and they begin to enjoy his spontaneous and carefree lifestyle. Maxwell helps Josie’s younger sister Mindy, who is insecure and starts to stand for her rights. Conway’s grandpa surprises everyone with a surprising secret. Maxwell’s arrival loosens the Mayfield clan, making Josie realize that she isn’t living her own life. Josie has to decide what direction she wants her romantic life, or not. The Hallmark Channel
