Mark Wahlberg portrays Spenser, an ex-cop who is better at making trouble than solving problems. He just got out from prison and will soon be leaving Boston. He is first roped in to help his mentor and boxing coach, Henry (Alan Arkin), who has a promising amateur. Hawk (Winston Duke), a brash and no-nonsense MMA fighter who believes he will be a more difficult opponent than Spenser. Two of Spenser’s ex-colleagues are murdered and he calls on Hawk (Winston Duke) and Cissy, his foul-mouthed exgirlfriend (Iliza Schlesinger), for help in investigating and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
