Sacrifice (2010)
Sacrifice: The sacrifice of the Zhao Family’s only child to save his clan from being massacred by a minister. A doctor later decides that he will seek revenge against the minister when the child is grown up. The Zhao Family has held power for generations. They even have the right to rule the King. Their mortal enemy TU’AN GU (Wang Xue Qi), plots a coup to eliminate their entire clan. A single Zhao child survives, but is taken by CHENGYING (Ge You), his doctor, to be with their WIFE (Hai Qing), and their newborn baby. Cheng Ying sets about revenge and raises the Zhao baby as his own. He enrolls himself and Cheng Bo, the Zhao orphan, into the Tu’an Gu household. Tu’ an Gu becomes very fond of Cheng Bo, and Cheng Bo is made his godson. However, Cheng Ying plans to make the boy an instrument for vengeance as he reaches adulthood.
