1980. Two teenage girls vanished from a small town near Coto of Donana in Andalusia. Two police detectives in homicides from Madrid, assigned by the father of one of these girls to search for the missing girls and find their assassins if the latter is alive, are sent to help him. Juan Robles and Pedro Suarez are the detectives. Suarez, a young and detached agent who is trying to establish a democratic Spain after the death of General Franco in 1975, is Robles, a veteran agent with an interesting past. He is also accused of being part Franco’s Armed Police, which was disbanded in 1978. Robles and Suarez are unable to find common ground, as Robles and Franco remain hostile in a country where Franco’s old methods and customs continue to be alive. The police investigate the death of the girl and discover that other deaths occurred in the past. Robles meets Suarez and Rocio. She is a beautiful, mysterious woman from the town. Robles then learns how to walk through the town in search of information. He also discovers about powerful, wealthy people who can do whatever they want. Quini is a charming young woman from the town who has a relationship with the girls. Quini tells us that a reporter arrives in the town to write about the case and to contact Suarez to learn more about Robles’ history. Robles and Suarez will need to come out of their differences in order to solve the case. –Chockys
