Made in Italy

Riko, just like his father works in a factory that cures meats. He is surrounded more by pigs than humans. He is not in a good place for the real love that he has with Sarah. Riko is unhappy at his job but he’s fortunate to still be employed, as opposed to many of his fifty-year-old colleagues who were fired. Even going out with his friends (including Carnevale) is not enough to ease the existential and professional crisis. He decides to get out of his comfort zone and drive to Rome together with some friends. They take part together in a demonstration during which Riko is given a head blow. Riko is able to make amends with Sara and face the challenges at work after being hit. Riko and Sara are remarried, but this new emotional beginning is interrupted abruptly by Sara’s confession. He learns that she cheated on her with Carnevale. Carnevale then kills himself. Riko gets fired, and he spirals into depression after losing his job and friend. He considers suicide. His son Pietro is the one who helps him regain his strength and help him to find a new way. –AnonymousB
