Love Undercover 3
Well, I actually enjoyed the 2002 "Sun jaat si mui" (aka "Love Undercover"), and also found the 2003 sequel "San jaat si mooi 2" (aka "Love Undercover 2") to be fairly okay, but slightly less entertaining than the first movie. But this 2006 third movie in the franchise was a major step back, making it even less enjoyable and watchable.The storyline told in "Sun jaat si mui 3" (aka "Love Undercover 3") was just lacking charm, contents and laughs. So it was a rather monotonous and dull movie to sit through, especially since what passed as comedy here felt so forced and staged that it was cringeworthy to watch. I can't claim to say that writers Matt Chow and Joe Ma managed to do the franchise justice with this third movie in the series.Lead actress Fiona Sit just didn't manage to carry the torch for the franchise and make it an enjoyable movie. I am sure that it wasn't her fault as an actress, but she just simply had not chance, given the fact that the script and storyline was just utter rubbish. And not even Shiu Hung Hui could manage to do much with this rubbish.I can now check "Sun jaat si mui 3" off of my list, and in all honesty say that I am never returning to watch it a second time.My rating of "Sun jaat si mui 3" lands on a generous three out of ten stars.
