Brian Wilson was the brains behind The Beach Boys. But he had to pay a high price. This is especially evident during the peak of his artistic career in 1960s. His inner demons as well as obsessions to please his abusive father drove him to mental collapse that would last for many years. Brian is unable to function under Dr. Landy’s control in the 1980s. Brian falls for Melinda Ledbetter. With growing concern, Melinda observes Brian’s subservience as an abusive psychotherapist and their relationship develops.
