Last Passenger

Max Shaler, Dr. Lewis Shaler’s son, is traveling to London by train. Lewis will take Max with him to the service for the victims of an unfortunate accident that occurred at his hospital. Lewis offered to clean Max’s spilled coffee and they soon began chatting. Lewis notices an unidentified man standing on the tracks, apparently fixing the brakes when the train stops. Lewis sees another person crawling along the tracks when the train moves. Lewis searches for the conductor of the train and discovers he is gone. He tries to reach the driver when the train reaches its destination without stopping. The few passengers aboard realize that the train doesn’t have a brake, and that the driver is suicidal. –Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
