Knowing

Students create time capsules in the fall 1959 and draw images of their lives as it would be 50 years from now. Lucinda is an unusual child that hears voices and quickly writes long numbers. The capsule was opened in 2009. Caleb Koestler, a student, gets Lucinda’s drawing and John, an astrophysicist, grieving widower and grief counselor, looks inside. The capsule contains the numbers of people who have died and the dates they occurred over 50 years. There are three dates left, with more to come. After investigating, he learns about Lucinda and searches for her family. His son is beginning to have voices, and he’s visited by an unknown stranger. He sees a vision that shows fire and destruction. Is there something more? —
