In the Heights
In the Heights is a story about a range of characters who live in Washington Heights at the north tip of Manhattan. The show’s central character is Usnavi. He runs a bodega and looks after the elderly Cuban woman next to him. Meanwhile, Usnavi longs for the beautiful girl who works in his neighboring beauty salon. Nina, Usnavi’s childhood friend, is back in the neighbourhood from her first year of college. She has surprising news for her parents who spent all their savings to build a better future for their daughter. The close-knit community gets a taste of home, and Usnavi is one of them. –Broadway.com
