Howard Lovecraft & the Frozen Kingdom

Howard Lovecraft’s young adventure begins by his mother taking him to the Butler Sanitarium to see his father Winfield Lovecraft. He is a man who was driven insane by an act he did. Howard’s father becomes paranoid and afraid, asking his son to burn a book he shouldn’t have written. Although the boy does not scream, he returns home with a gift: a handmade paper star from his father. Howard is captivated by his father’s story and begins to explore it once he gets home. Howard is drawn to a cold, dark world full of deceit and magic. R’yleh is a fictional kingdom that tells the story of an “unholy marriage” of nightmares and fairy tales. The boy accidentally reads some words in the book written in strange languages and gets sucked into the fabric of time. Thu Thu Hmong is a Deep One who initially attempts to eat Howard, but eventually comes around when the boy has saved the creature’s lives. Howard is unable to pronounce Spot’s name and calls the creature Spot. The young Lovecraft is soon drawn to the mystery of an unknown world and things become very exciting. Howard is accompanied by Spot and meets four local children, Felch (Davik), Tw’i, Nes, and Tw’i. Howard receives the education he needs to start his journey in Kingdom of R’yleh from these four children. Howard and Spot meet Algid Bunk when they reach the Frozen castle. Algid is the Earl who works under King Alzhared. Algid guides Howard and Spot to uncover dark secrets about R’yleh so Howard can return home to his family.
