House of Sand and Fog
Kathy, an emotionally broken woman suddenly becomes homeless when her home is wrongly repossessed. Lester, a compassionate deputy sheriff, comes to Kathy’s aid and gets involved in her life. Behrani, an Iranian proud immigrant, and his family soon move in to the home only to be harassed and hounded by Kathy and Lester as they try to recover her old house. He denies Kathy’s requests, even though he is a once wealthy colonel and knows that his purchase will bring him a lucrative return and better prospects for both his son and his spouse. Behrani’s good intentions are not enough to stop Kathy from spiraling out of control and triggering a chain of tragic events that will affect everyone in the House of Sand and Fog. –Tiler Faisal
