Hairspray (2007)
Tracy Turnblad is a teenager who has all the moves and obsession with The Corny Collins Show. To Tracy’s horror, her mother Edna is horrified that Penny and Tracy are obsessed with the Corny Collins Show. Corny Collins organizes auditions for the next teenager regular after one of the main stars leaves the show. Tracy, with the support of Seaweed, is selected, which angers Amber Von Tussle, her mother Velma, and Velma, her evil dance queen. Tracy decides it is unfair that black children can only participate in the show one month per year (“Negro Day”) and she has Seaweed, Link and Penny helping her to do so ….. without affecting her look. –leoprez1030
