Fort Tilden

Fort Tilden is New York City’s idyllic seaside paradise. Here, Brooklyn’s young millennials flock to the area on hot weekend afternoons in search of unbridled indulgence. Allie (Clare McNulty), a quarter-life crisis sufferer, struggles to get ready for Peace Corps while Harper (Bridey Elliott) waits to receive checks from her dad to help her fund artistic endeavors. The two best friends soon shun responsibility for the day that a couple of handsome men invites them to Fort Tilden. The two women, both young, board fixed-gear bikes and begin a long journey to the coast. They quickly discover that their lives are similar to their transitional life. This is the debut feature film by Sarah-Violet Bliss, Charles Rogers. It features Clare McNulty as Allie, and Bridey Elliott playing Harper. “Fort Tilden,” a humorously entertaining and easily recognizable portrayal of the effects of prolonged adolescence. –Anonymous
