EverAfter

This Cinderella version was directed by Andy Tennant. After visiting the Grande Dame’s home, the Brothers Grimm tell the story about her ancestor and discuss the legends that surround the fable. Flashbacks allow us to focus on Danielle (an eight year old girl) who is the daughter of a rich widower and a 16th century landowner. He dies from a heart attack after returning to France, along with Rodmilla (Anjelica Hston), his wife and their two children. The trio now treat Danielle (Drew Barrymore), as a servant ten years later. She is fortunate to have a meeting with Prince Henry (Dougray Scot), who flees an arranged marriage. The Prince later takes an interest when Danielle pretends to be a lady and poses as Danielle. Leonardo Da Vinci, inventor-artist (Patrick Godfrey), offers Prince Henry advice on heart matters.
