Do the Right Thing

The film shows life on a Sunday in Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood. Sal Fragione, who has owned the same pizza shop for over 25 years, opens it every day. Since he started there, the neighborhood has seen a lot of change and now consists mainly of Hispanics and African-Americans. Pino, his son hates the place and would prefer to move it to their neighborhood. Sal sees the restaurant as an integral part of his daily life. It all started as an ordinary complaint from Buggin’ Out, who wondered why there were only photos of Italian-American celebrities on his wall. But frustration seems to bring out the worst of everyone. –garykmcd
