Distance Between Dreams is the story of the greatest year of big wave surfing. It’s told through the eyes and words of Ian Walsh, an iconic surfer who sets his mind and body on fire to redefine what it means to be able to ride. D.K., Shaun and Ian were able to ride in the massive El Nino-powered swells that were building up across the Pacific. Luke Walsh and Shaun Walsh join forces in a way that only brothers could, to push surfing to new heights. The transition from big wave surfing to jet ski assist to paddling in is a high-stakes one. Walsh must use his intense mental and physical training as well as the most recent technology and safety team (his brothers) to make it happen. As Walsh rides the emotional rollercoaster of this historic winter, surfers John John Florence and Greg Long join forces with Walsh.
