Jenny Lerner, a journalist, is asked to investigate the history of Secretary Alan Rittenhouse. He abruptly quit government due to his wife’s declining health. His secretary informs her that Rittenhouse had an affair with Ellie, but her strange reactions lead her to question her. A comet discovered by Leo Biederman, high school student, and Dr. Marcus Wolf is actually on collision course with Earth. This Extinction Level Event. The US and Russia send a joint team to destroy the comet, but if it fails special precautions are taken to ensure the survival of humanity.
