Catfight
Veronica (Sandra Oh), a superficial and entitled housewife, is portrayed in this gritty comedy-drama. Ashley (Anne Heche), a self-deprecating, misanthropic artist who is trying to have a child with Lisa (Alicia Silverstone), and her career. Veronica meets Ashely at Veronica’s husband’s party. There, their long-standing rivalry surfaces which causes a vicious cat fight that ends in Veronica being in a coma. Veronica wakes up from her coma two years later to discover that her teenage son and husband are both dead. She is also broke and has no friends. Ashley, on the other side, is a wealthy and successful artist who has married Lisa. Veronica accuses Ashley of her fall. After another fight in a vacant lot leads to another savage dog-fight, Ashley ends up in a coma. She is then revived two years later to discover that her world has changed. Ashley now wants to find Veronica and settle the matter once and for all. Will Ashely and Veronica’s war on each other never be over? –Larry B.
