Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story
Hedy Lamarr, a Hollywood film star was considered the most glamorous and beautiful woman in the world. But that’s only the superficial side of her amazing talents. Her inventive genius was the most prominent. A world blinded to her beauty couldn’t recognize her as far back in her childhood in Austria, when she used her own gadgets. The film explores Lamarr’s story, which includes her escape from a marriage that was not meant for her and her new life in Hollywood. Despite her efforts to make an intellectual contribution, they were not recognized even though she was willing to serve her country during World War II. Lamarr discovered her extraordinary talent after struggling with her career, personal problems and a difficult life. This allowed her to create brilliant engineering concepts which revolutionized telecommuting.
