Big Time

Bjarke Ingels began his career as a teenager dreaming about creating cartoons. He has been called “one of the most innovative architects” by The Wall Street Journal, and “one of The 100 Most Influential Persons on Earth” by TIME Magazine. BIG TIME tracks Bjarke over seven years, 2009-2016. He struggles to complete his largest project. Bjarke allows us into his creative process and the many compromises that it entails. We also help him when his personal life becomes stressful. In addition to VIA West, an architectural wonder that opened recently (625 West57th Street), Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), was given the responsibility of designing and building the new skyscrapers. Bjarke, who is building these landmarks that will transform New York’s skyline, is also suffering from health issues. This film gives us a glimpse into Bjarke, the ambitious Danish architect who is celebrated around the world as a genius.
