Battleground

A group of American soldiers engages the Germans during a foggy, snowy winter in World War II near Bastogne. The soldiers are low in fuel, rations and ammunition. They have been encouraged to surrender by the Germans via radio, leaflets and leaflets. But, most important, they can’t move or identify themselves because of the thick fog that prevents them from receiving Allied air support. The film is more about the psychological and morale aspects of soldiers rather than action and heroics. –Michael C. Berch
