Avatar (2009)
Paraplegic Marine Jake Sully takes the place of his brother in an armed robbery and is shot in the head. He learns about Parker Selfridge, a corporate leader who wants to drive off native humans “Na’vi”, in order for him to extract the valuable material that is scattered among their lush woodland. Jake is offered the chance to have his legs fixed by spinal surgery. He also learns about the Indigenous Race’s Culture and History for Colonel Quaritch’s military unit. Meanwhile, he tries to steal the identity of the Na’vi people using an “avatar”. As Jake bonds with Neytiri and forms a close relationship, Colonel Quaritch continues to exterminate the tribe.
