Argo

The Iranian Revolutionaries invaded the American Embassy in Iran and took several hostages. Six managed to flee to the residence of Canadian Ambassador. The CIA was then ordered to remove them from the country. Tony Mendez, an exfiltration specialist, devised a bold plan. He created a fake Canadian film production to be shot in Iran and then smuggled the Americans as part of its production crew. Mendez concocted the scheme with the support of trusted Hollywood contacts and went to Iran as the associate producer. As the Iranian security forces were closing in on the truth, Mendez was able to make the ruse while his accusers and the White House had serious doubts. –Kenneth Chisholm ([email protected])
