Animal Factory
Ron is a young, privileged man sentenced for marijuana-related charges. Earl Copan (18-years old) is sent to prison for marijuana charges. Ron, regardless of the reason, brings out his paternal feelings. This film examines Ron’s role in Earl’s Gang, Ron’s involvement, and how Ron handles aggressive cons who want to assault and rape. The prisoners and guards also show casual racism. There is also a strike by Black prisoner and an almost omnipresence hard drug. Ron’s lawyer works to get Ron out as quickly as possible, Earl still has the chance of parole and death appears to be in the next cell. Is Ron going to be turned into an animal in prison? —
