Agatha

This fictional story is based on the true life of Agatha Christie, famed author of murder mysteries. Her car, which was damaged and covered in fur, is abandoned on a rural road. Although the police initially believe she may have killed herself, Col. Archibald Christie her pompous husband insists that she is alive. He doesn’t reveal to them that he asked for her divorce recently so that Miss Nancy Neele, his secretary could be married. It was no surprise that Mrs. Christie asked for a divorce, even though she had been aware of his extramarital affairs. However, she refused to give him this request because she loves him. Wally Stanton, an American columnist for a newspaper, was also scheduled to interview Mrs. Christie. Stanton decides to try to discover what really happened. Stanton manages to find her at Harrogate’s resort spa hotel. She is there openly, but he uses an assumed identity. He does not reveal his true identity until he finally meets her. Stanton is determined to not only find out her true motives but also protect her reputation. Stanton has ulterior motives beyond just wanting to share a story. –Huggo
