Thad Sitter, a recently divorced man, works part-time in a southwest Missouri weight-loss clinic. But the real income comes from working as an intermediary for Gayle Benson, a weight-loss guru (Heather Roop), or her illegal diet-pill suppliers. The situation is looking good until Gayle kills the supplier, which forces Thad to destroy the evidence. Thad’s ex wife, Julie (M.J. Brackin), just got over a bad breakup with Sheriff Crane, Robert Leeshock), and realizes she is still in love. The jealous Sheriff learns of the murders and decides to indict Thad to get Julie for himself. Thad is now threatened by Gayle’s operations and must hide as his ex-boss and the law pursue him. Julie hires Jake Liebig, a private investigator (Ken Hudson Campbell), to unravel the mysteries surrounding the murders of Thad and his sudden disappearance. Julie is putting her lives at risk as she tries to uncover the truth. –Genesius
