A Good Year

Max Skinner, a London bond trader and banker, learns from his uncle Henry that Henry has died intestate. Max is then given a Chateau and Provence vineyard. Max lived in France for part of his childhood, where he learned maxims, how to win, and developed his mastery at chess. This helped him greatly in finance. Max travels to France with the intention of selling his property. Max spends several days in France getting the property ready for sale. He is interrupted by memories, a gorgeous woman and an American young lady who claims she is Henry’s unborn daughter. Max, the boy, knew things Max has lost. —
