Sling Blade

Karl, a partially disabled man who had been in a mental institution for 20 years and murdered his mother and another individual, is now free. Karl often gets asked if he would ever commit suicide again. He shrugs off the question and says that there’s no need. Karl now lives in his small, hometown and fixes motors. Karl meets Frank, a boy who becomes friends with him. Frank invites Karl to live at Frank’s home along Linda. Linda views Karl as an odd but generous man. Linda’s boyfriend Doyle is abusive and sees the world differently. He insults Linda’s gay friend Vaughan, as well as Karl, his disabilities, as well as throwing wild parties with friends.
