Wild Things

Recently named educator of year, Sam Lombardo has been a well-known guidance counselor and instructor at Blue Bay High School. He is located just outside Miami. Students at the school are mostly made up of country club members. Sam Lombardo is the well-liked guidance counselor and sailing instructor. He also mentors those with financial needs, like Jimmy Leach, who couldn’t afford to be in the sailing program. He is not socioeconomically included in the country club, but he has built a rapport with it. After sleeping with many of the maidens of the club, he now lives with Barbara Baxter (the well-off daughter Tom Baxter). Sam is thrown into turmoil when Kelly Van Ryan (student) accuses Sam of raping him. Kelly is the daughter Sandra Van Ryan’s ex-bed mate, a sexually provocative widow, and is well-off. Sam is already in serious trouble because no one in Blue Bay can defeat the Van Ryans. His career is in jeopardy. Suzie swiftly follows suit and accuses him of raping Kelly. It is unlikely that Kelly and Suzie would conspire to create similar stories, as they are known to be bitter enemies. Sam, now persona non grata in the country club group, is forced to employ Ken Bowden, a sleazy shopfront lawyer to represent him. Blue Bay Police Detective Ray Duquette, of the Sex Crimes Division of Blue Bay Police, investigates with Gloria Perez. He believes that the cases are not as simple and straightforward as it appears. –Huggo
