Veronica
Madrid, June 1991. Veronica, a teenager girl, is overwhelmed by her circumstances. Her father recently died and her mother now works at a bar. She must also care for her siblings Lucia, Irene, and Antonito, the youngest. Veronica, still grieving the loss of her father, decides to play Ouija alongside Rosa and Diana. She takes advantage of a total solar eclipse, which all her classmates and teachers can see from their school’s roof. The girls attempt to reach their deceased relatives while alone in the basement. However, something goes wrong, and Veronica is left behind. Veronica began to experience strange sensations in her house, and she tried to hide the news from her mother. She fears these ghosts could be threatening her siblings. Sister Narcisa, who is affectionately known as Sister Death, advises Veronica about the evil spirit that is near her. She helps her to find a way out. Veronica suffers hallucinations, terrible visions, and eventually, violence that causes the entire house to become a horror zone where everyone is at risk. –Chockys
