Los Angeles is a place where drug dealers have taken over the streets. Those who swear to uphold the law in Los Angeles are breaking it to clear the streets. Denzel Washington plays L.A.P.D. Detective Alonzo Harris plays L.A.P.D., an experienced narcotics officers whose methods for enforcing law are questionable if not corrupt. “Training Day” follows Harris’ training of rookie Jake Hoyt for 24 hours. Hoyt and the audience face ethical dilemmas as they try to decide if Harris’ method of removing drugs from South Central Los Angeles streets is correct or not. –Anna
