The Warning
Jon, a 32-year-old mathematician, witnesses his friend David being shot at a Madrid gas station. Nico, a 10-year-old boy is bullied by his school friends and forced to go to the same station in order to purchase a magazine for adult readers. After Lucia, his mother, arrives to rescue Nico, she finds a note in her magazine about a warning that Nico would die if he didn’t go to the station by April 12. Fear and paranoia start to take over Nico. Jon then notices about an earlier shot in 1976 where the general’s chauffeur was also shot in the gas station. Jon digs into the history of the area and finds other tragedies from 1955 and 1913. He tries to use his mathematical talent to identify a pattern, which leads him and Andrea to reject Andrea, David’s ex-girlfriend. As April 12 draws to a close, Lucia struggles with Nico’s death fear and Jon battles against the unbalanced thoughts that he has developed since he left schizophrenia treatment. Jon sets out to prove his findings to Andrea and to discover the connection that links all events. He races against time, hoping that 2018 will be another repeat of this cycle. Is it true or a trick of Jon’s fragile mind? Can Jon end the cycle before it is too late? –Chockys
