The Town
Charlestown is known for producing a large number of armed criminals generation after generation. They never abandon their Charlestown lifestyle on their own, as there is an unwritten code in place to ensure that they do not leave. These robbers are Doug MacRay and James Coughlin as well as Albert ‘Gloansy’Magloan, Desmond Elden, Desmond Elden, and James Coughlin. Doug and James treat one another like they are their family. This is because Doug’s mother fled and Doug’s dad, Stephen MacRay was sentenced to prison. Doug and James have an informal sexual relationship. James has a single sister, Krista, a drugged-out Krista Coughlin. They rob a bank, and are successful. However, Claire Keesey is taken hostage by the foursome. She was released physically unscathed. Claire is located in Charlestown and they discover that they have never seen anything which could lead to them being indicted. Doug establishes a relationship with Claire to learn what she has told police and FBI. For her own safety, she kept certain information secret from authorities. However, this information could be used to identify James. Doug falls in love with her slowly, just as she does with him. Doug longs to leave Charlestown and be with Claire. Doug must keep Claire’s true identity secret and hide the fact that his coworkers are seeing him. He isn’t able to leave as quickly as he wanted. Doug and his gang have been assigned a large job by Fergie, a local gangster. Adam Frawley is the FBI’s chief investigator and comes across evidence linking the foursome with the bank robbery, followed by an armored vehicle heist. He wants to find evidence that could send them off alive or dead. –Huggo
