The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

Walter Mitty is the manager for Life magazine’s negative assets section. He has worked for 16 years and lives a boring life. He doesn’t travel far from home, but he does go to work and vice versa. Walter Mitty is an avid daydreamer, and can be found daydreaming in a fantasy world many times per day. Walter is in love with Cheryl Melhoff, a newly hired employee. However, he’s too shy to ask her out on a date so he has been trying to get to know her online. As the magazine prepares to publish its final printed issue, Ted Hendricks, the grumpy manager of transition is planning for a downsizing. Walter was the link between the magazine’s editors and Sean O’Connell, an unknown photographer who sent Walter a set of negatives along with a wallet to show his appreciation for his work. Sean suggests that senior management use negative 25 as the cover for the final edition. Walter can’t find the missing negative. Walter is unable to reach Sean, but he discovers a hint that Sean might be living in Greenland. In an incredible adventure, he decides to go to Greenland in search of Sean. –Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
