The Scorpion King 2: Rise of a Warrior
Mathayus is the proud and patriotic son of Ashur. He’s a captain of the internationally renowned Black Scorpion Military Corps. Ashur also has first-rate bodyguards. Most of these are taken to court far away. Ashur objects to Mathayus’ participation in the corps and is killed. The orphaned knave, who was left behind by Ashur, is sent to an abandoned training camp under King Hammurabi’s protection for six years. Sargon demands brutal proof of his blind loyalty when he returns to the throne as a Black Scorpio. Mathayus declines and becomes a pursued hero. He embarks with his youth friends, including the resourceful Greek Pollux, and other mercenary soldiers, on an adventurous quest to find a legendary sword for Sargon’s magic ally, Astarte. –KGF Vissers
