The Returned
One cure was found in a world that has suffered from a zombie virus. A treatment known as the “Return Protein”, which stops the virus from infecting its host, is the cure. The “Returned”, despite having the virus in their blood, can live as if they never were bitten by it. They receive injections once every 36 hours. Chaos descends on the streets when it becomes apparent that there is a shortage of protein. The protein stock runs out and the refugees become zombies. Protesters then turn into murderers to clear the streets. Alex and Kate are right there in the middle. Alex is an acclaimed doctor and Alex is a music producer with dark secrets. He has been called a Returned. Alex is threatening to become a zombie, and as his secret grows out, fear and death run amok. Kate and Alex must team up in order for him to survive.
