The Red Turtle
A shipwrecked seafarer is surrounded by the vast and violent ocean. He must fight for his survival against the unrelenting towering waves. The man, who is on the verge of his death, will eventually be washed to shore by a tropical island with sandy beaches and timid animals, as well as a bamboo forest that gracefully moves. The sailor, who is hungry and determined to escape this Eden-like prison finds himself alone. He builds a small boat, but an unidentified enemy prevents him reaching his destination. The exhausted man doesn’t give up on hope and continues to try every day to build a stronger, more durable, better raft. However, the ocean is full of mysterious and wonderful creatures and even the only red turtle can’t allow the weary survivor to escape. This could be the cruel enemy. –Nick Riganas
