The Last of Robin Hood

Beverly Aadland is the story of her teenage starlet, who was the legendary swashbuckler Errol flynn’s last girlfriend. Beverly Aadland was working as a Warner Brothers employee in 1957. She had a false birth certificate stating she was 18. But she was actually only 15. When she met the matinee star, she became enamoured. The relationship was a rough start but they eventually fell in love with Beverly’s Hollywood mom Florence. She became an willing third-wheel. They traveled from L.A., New York and Africa to Cuba to have an affair. Flynn then joined the rebels in making a pro-Castro propaganda film starring Beverly. The whole thing came to an abrupt halt in Vancouver when Flynn, who was in Beverly’s arms at the time, died. This caused an outpouring of media attention. Florence achieved tabloid fame, but Beverly lost her sanity. “The Last of Robin Hood” is a touching, yet funny tale of a young man’s quest for fame and its consequences. –Anonymous
