The Last Full Measure

Scott Huffman is a young political staffer in the Department of Defence. He was given the task of investigating the request for a Medal of Honour upgrade. In 1966, Airman William H Pitsenbarger died in Vietnam for his gallantry and conspicuous actions. Although he was highly recommended to receive the MoH, his Air Force Cross award was reduced. His family and comrades have been pushing for his medal since over thirty years. Huffman is more concerned about his career than Pitsenbarger’s case, but the deeper he focuses on it the more convinced he becomes that Pitsenbarger merits the MoH. He should have been awarded it in 1966. Why wasn’t he there? –grantss
